Notes: Saturn is for this apparition around 49 degrees in elevation. This image was taken at around 45 degrees elevation. This image is just weeks after the first ring crossing for this opposition. The next will take place on 4th September 2009. Things to look for at a ring crossing apparition are shadow transits. Unfortunately on this occassion no moons were transiting.
