NGC5128 (Centaurus A) Galaxy Image taken at Clayton Bay, South Australia Equipment - GSO 8" RC, Takahashi flattener with QSI583WSG Guiding - ED80 with Orion Star Shoot autoguider on PME. LRGB 40 30 30 40 Darks, flats and biases applied Processed in CCDstack and Photoshop CS3 Notes - A significant step up from my previous image but lots more work needed to get the image how I want it to appear. Object information - This galaxy is located in the constellation of Centaurus at a distance of 10-16 million light years. The galaxy is very bright to view through a large telescope but photographically is shows a lot of detail and galactic cirrus. |
