NGC 6559 and surrounding nebulae Image taken at Clayton Bay, South Australia Equipment - Takahashi TSA102, with QSI583WSG Guiding - QSI OAG and Orion Star Shoot Autoguider. L R G B -100 30 30 45 (20 minute subs for Luminence, 10 minutes subs for red and green and 15 minute sub exposures for blue) Darks, flats and biases applied Processed in CCD stack and Photoshop CS3 Object - NGC 6559 seen in the lower part of the image is an emission nebula located in the constellation of Sagitarius. It lies at a distance of around 5000 light years. Some reflection nebula exists which shows as blue nebula. It is a lovely and fascinating area to image. Notes - Reasonably happy with this image, it could always be better but for now I am happy. |
