Rho Ophiuchus Image taken at Clayton Bay, South Australia Equipment - Nikon D3 with 300mm f2.8 VR lens Guiding - QSI OAG and Orion Star Shoot Autoguider. RGB 70 (5 minute sub exposures) Processed in CCD stack and Photoshop CS3 Object - Located in the constellation of Ophiuchus at about 131 or so parsecs. It contains many young stars and both emission and reflection nebulae. Notes - I am quite happy with this image given that this image was taken at first quarter and did not have darks or biases subtracted and of course is a DSLR image which is not modified. It is not the last time I will have a go at imaging this target. |
