Image taken 24 January 2009 from Clayton Bay, South Australia Equipment - Takahashi TSA102S, flattener with Astro 40D camera by Central DS Guiding - ED80 with Star Shoot auto guider on Takahashi EM400 mount. 5 x 20 minute subs Flats, darks and bias's applied Processed in Images Plus and Photoshop CS3 Notes - I am generally quite happy with this image, but feel as usual there needs to be many more subs and probably much longer. Guiding is quite good too. Information note - The seagull nebula lies at a distance of around 3750 light years. It lies on the border of Canis Majoris and is a reflection nebula. |
