Image taken 23 September 2008 from Blackwood, South Australia Equipment - Takahashi TSA102S, flattener with 40D Astro-modded and cooled camera Guiding - ED80 with USB DMK on CGE mount. 12 x 360 second subs at ISO1600 Darks, biases and flats applied Processed in Images Plus and Photoshop CS3 Note - This is a very difficult target from suburban skies. The high Ha content of this nebula precludes those using unmodded camera's. Faint nebulosity can be seen throughout the structure and imaging from a dark sky would certainly improve the overall quality of the image. I found that using high ISO's above 800 is really impractical for gaining smooth images. I am going to stick to ISO 800 from now on. |
